      Polar Research is the international, peer-reviewed journal of the Norwegian Polar Institute, Norway's central institution for research, environmental monitoring and mapping of the polar regions.   Polar bear numbers are stable or have grown since and the population appears healthy overall. Educating an American student for the good life mandates that these young minds be schooled in the laws, customs and ways of people.
